Are you still using the old hearing aid?

I personally think that the best hearing aid you could ever get is the type that you have built specifically for you. I don’t know why you might want that type, since some of the regular ones are really adjustable. But if it makes you sleep better at night, go for it.
Hearing is one of your five main senses and you seriously don’t want to live without it. None of them really seeing, tasting, hearing, feeling, and smelling are worth losing for all the tea in China. However, these problems do happen. So should you have hearing problems, you should have it looked at. If it is helpable by hearing aid, get one.
If you are deaf, there mightn t be any kind of hearing aid to help you. You could try corrective surgery, or even the new cochlear implants that are making a rave in the medical society these days. But that decision will have to be up to the physician and not you. Just don’t rush into anything before your options are laid out before you.
The purpose of a hearing aid is to magnify sound. You may not be able to hear very well, but there are sounds going on all around you all the time. If you find that that is no longer happening with the hearing aid you are using, perhaps it is time to change it. You should be able to hear with it, or you should not be using it. That makes sense, no?
